Will the 16 gauge silver wires hold up in a 12 volt 20 amp DC circuit, or will they burn up due to insufficient wire size for the current?

I’ve got a quick question that I’m hoping someone can help me out with. I’m more of a hands-on mechanical engineer, so wiring is not really my thing. I can handle the basics, but this one is leaving me a bit puzzled.

I’m looking to use a fuse extension in a 12-volt 20-amp DC circuit. From what I’ve found in the tables, it seems that 12-gauge wire is the minimum size needed for 20 amps. It looks like 16-gauge wire is only rated for 10-13 amps. The wire I’m using appears to be silver, not copper, but I’m not sure about the exact material. I also want to mention that power will be supplied continuously.

Do you think I’ll end up burning the wires or not?

Do you carry #10 solid wire?

What’s the app for?

The wires are most likely made of tinned copper.s focus on cross-sectional area rather than wire gauges. A 4 mm² wire is usually fine for 20 A, but a 2.5 mm² wire can work in certain situations.
