Will skipping transition pieces in doorways with the same vinyl floor throughout the house cause any issues like insufficient expansion gaps?

I’m not going to put any transition pieces in the doorways because I’m using the same vinyl floating floor in the whole house. I like how it looks without them, so I hope it’s okay. Does anyone know if this might cause issues with not having a larger expansion gap or any other potential problems?

Just make sure to leave some space around the walls while placing our things, no need for transitions.

Our class had a contractor put it in – they do really good work.

Transitions are necessary to cover up any seams or level changes in the floor.

The entire first floor has the same product throughout, with no transition pieces at the thresholds. It looks really nice to have a seamless look. I personally find transitions to be a bit choppy and disjointed.

Hey there, Pro here from 1bidpro! When it comes to using the same vinyl floating floor throughout your house without transition pieces, it’s usually no problem for looks. Just make sure to leave enough room along the edges of each room for the floor to move as needed. If you skip this step, your floor could end up warping or buckling over time. To avoid any issues, it’s a good idea to chat with a flooring expert about the right expansion gap size for your installation. This will help you prevent any headaches later on!
