Will 15-year-old unused felt deteriorate if left in a leanto for decades?

Hey, I have a question about the 15# felt that’s been sitting around unused. I need to redo a small lean-to roof off the side of a shed, about 100 square feet. My ex built it over 20 years ago and left at least half a roll of felt behind. Do you think that stuff can go bad? It’s just been sitting in the lean-to, maybe even on the ground, all this time.
