Why would someone invest in multiple GFCI breakers and outlets in a home, particularly when some are on a panel with a manual generator switchover?

Hey everyone! I’ve got a question about GFCIs. So, I’ve noticed that several circuits in my house have GFCI breakers along with GFCI outlets in the usual spots like the bathroom, kitchen, and outdoors. Any thoughts on why someone would do that? The only thing that stands out to me is that quite a few of them (not all) are on a panel with a manual generator switchover. Any insights?
Those are arc fault breakers, they aren’t gfci
These are actually AFCI outlets, not FCI. They are required by code for almost every circuit in your home.
I assume most of your smaller circuits don’t have a ground wire in the cable, which is why they need to be round Fault to help protect people in the house. However, without knowing all the details of your area and circumstances, it’s difficult to give a definite answer.
