Why won’t our shower door close properly and what could be causing the gap in our extra bathroom?

Hey there! We’re scratching our heads over here trying to figure out why the shower door we installed in our spare bathroom won’t close all the way and there’s a gap. Any ideas on what might be causing this?

The wall seems a bit crooked, the door might need some adjusting, it looks like the door is hung incorrectly

Have you made any changes to the wheels at the top?

Naja Thomsen

Did you use a level to check the wall alignment?

Onni Marttila

The top rail might not be level, or the wall may not be plumb.

Maybe did both

Seems like the door is not aligned properly, if the rollers are on the door, you might be able to adjust them, but it could be too far off

A square level would come in handy for various tasks

Both sides should be adjustable and it’s important that each side is the exact same height. Fixing this should resolve the issue.

My top rail has 2 wheels that can be adjusted. They have eccentric wheels (the hole is off-centered) so you can adjust the gap by rotating them. Once you find the perfect fit, you can secure them in place.

Not aligned properly.

There are a few factors that can lead to this issue.
1-Wall severely out of plumb
2-Top rail not completely level
3-Improper installation of door rollers.
