Why isn’t my brand new ceiling fan working despite the light turning on and being connected correctly as shown in the picture, with no pull or reverse switch or frequency switches on the receiver or remote, and holding power buttons not resolving the issue?

Hey there! So I just got this brand new ceiling fan, and I’m having some issues. The light comes on just fine, but the fan isn’t working. I made sure to connect everything exactly like it shows in the picture. Just to clarify, there are no pull cords, reverse switches, or frequency switches on either the receiver or the remote. I do have the receiver antenna for the remote connected though. I tried holding down the power button and the power/fan combination buttons, but that didn’t seem to solve the problem. Any ideas on what might be going on here?
Ive Home Depot a call
Flip the switch to the ‘on’ position
There could be a loose wire or connectors that are not snapped in properly.
If the light is on, then the wall switch has to be on as well.
Might not be a great fan, make sure to check for the switch on the side of the fan body.
Check if the reversing switch is stuck in the middle and not connecting
That’s exactly what I was about to mention. I’ve witnessed it multiple times.
Josh uisinger, it’s usually something straightforward and, let’s be honest, sometimes a bit silly too! 😂
Absolutely, ! It’s not uncommon to encounter this issue straight out of the box. Thanks for sharing your experience. Sometimes the simplest solutions are the ones that work!
I can totally relate, ! Had a similar experience myself. Sometimes even electricians can be caught off guard by such situations. It happens to the best of us!
Let’s start over from step one.
Incorrect! Try again!
Could you provide clearer images?
It seems like you might require the assistance of an electrician.
Print again with color, ensuring green (ground) is on the right and the central wire is truly white (neutral). 😅
Try pulling the string on the fan.
Absolutely
In case there’s a string…
There’s no string attached
Then flip the switch and proceed to utilize the remote.
At my place, as long as you keep the remote on, you can control it using a switch. However, I had to purchase a receiver and remote from Amazon. The device must have both the switch and the remote turned on, or else it won’t function.
Take it apart, then have your wife put it back together…..if it still doesn’t work, disassemble it again and repeat the process…..that’s how I fixed it…the old lady finally stopped complaining
Have you programmed the remote?
It might be the wall switch or sometimes you have to remove bumpers near the fan’s base.
Make sure to pair the remote with the antenna using the same code!!
It should come factory paired. Just press the on button 😂
Ricky uillermo many of them are not.
Sync the remote with the receiver by pressing the light and power buttons together until the light kit flashes
Try using the remote control
Yesterday, I had to troubleshoot a ‘temu’ (online Chinese junk vendor) special. Found a poor solder connection in the control module.
It might be a faulty connection.
Make sure to read the instructions thoroughly. ‘t just rely on the images
Hey, is the TV still functioning properly? Haha. Check if there’s a pull chain for the light, give it a tug a couple of times
Connection is not secure
Regarding the quick connects.
Have you attempted to turn it off and on again? If you’re still stuck, I can recommend some first-year apprentices who may be able to help 😮💨
This 😂😂
Possibly a faulty connection on the plug
Ive the chain a gentle tug 😀🎁😀
I actually have one of those, and I’ve encountered a couple of issues with it. Firstly, the receiver antenna seems quite bulky, but fortunately, I installed it in the garage, so it wasn’t a problem. It also seems to be motion-sensitive. Secondly, the warranty address provided, at least for the one I bought, instructs to send it to Denton Tx. I followed that, but the envelope was returned to me a few days ago, so now I’m outside the warranty period. Still looking into that. Besides these issues, the fan and light are functioning properly.
Have you linked the blue and white wires in the light kit?
Remotes can be a bit tricky sometimes. Just press the right side of the button and hold it for a second or two. Use the left side to turn it off instead.
No neutral detected?
You might want to consider using a blue wire connector for that
Remove the rubber shipping bushings 😆
Remember to pair the remote with the fan after installing it, as the remote is the only way to switch it on.
Double-check to ensure that the dip switches are set the same.
China
Just double check that the frequency switches in the control module and remote match up.
Do you possess a tester? If not, ask someone who does. If you do, check the fan lead from the receiver. If you detect voltage, the fan is faulty. If there is no voltage, your remote is the issue.
Just give the chain a pull. Sometimes the switches are turned off by default

People are crazy here… many new fans no longer have pull chains… It could be that a pin in the quick connect is loose, causing them to disconnect when connecting. If that’s not the issue, it might be the receiver or perhaps someone returned a faulty fan to the shelf.

Have you checked the reverse switch?
Yeah, for sure, buddy! 😂🤯
“Hey there! Everything runs on ball bearings these days. So get that Fetzer valve ready with some 3-in-1 oil and gauze pads. Also, I’ll need around ten quarts of anti-freeze, preferably Prestone. Or maybe Quaker State.”
I would suggest wiring it directly to test if it functions properly initially
Make sure to double-check the connection in the light canopy section of the factory
Pair your remote with the fan
Consider buying a new fan?
Or maybe call an electrician?
Feeling like giving up? 🙃
What’s the make and model of the fan?
It’s no good, return it
Could it be that the receiver or motor is malfunctioning?
