Why are my LED low profile can lights flickering in the living room when I dim the bedroom lights on the same breaker with LED dimmers?

Hey there! So, I recently put in some Led low profile can lights in my living room and bedroom, and they’re both connected to the same breaker. I’ve got them set up with LED dimmers, but I’ve noticed that when I dim the lights in the bedroom, the ones in the living room start flickering. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks for any help you can offer!
Hmm, quick question: Did the lights mention if they can be dimmed? Because if Incandescent bulbs are used with a dimmer that isn’t compatible, they tend to flicker.
The lights can be dimmed, the living room set has been in place for over a year without issue. However, after installing the bedroom set, I noticed that when they are dimmed, the living room lights flicker.
Is unsure about the situation. Wishing you good luck.
Is the dimmer suitable for LED lights or is it an older model? Older dimmers may not work effectively with LED lights.
Mentioned that the switches are dimmable LED.
Make sure to check the grounds and look for any loose wires.
You should look for a dimmer switch that works with LED lights. It will be clearly labeled on the switch’s packaging.
Just to clarify, , I’ve ensured that my dimmers are suitable for the specific lights I have.
Hey there, ! Have you made any changes to the dimmers?
I’ve had the same problem. I believe there are dimmers made specifically for LED lights that could help.
I know this might sound silly, but is it possible that the lights are on the same circuit as the outlets? Sometimes, electricians take shortcuts and connect other power sources to light circuits – lights should be on their own circuit to prevent flickering caused by interference from outlets.
It’s quite possible, there are numerous items in this house that I just can’t seem to explain.
Common problem, some dimmers can still cause issues even if they are labeled as “compatible”. Do you know what brand of dimmers you are using?
Recommended Bestten from Amazon
Perhaps you should consider trying a different brand. No promises though. If you search this issue on Google, you’ll see how frequently it occurs, but unfortunately, there isn’t a definitive solution yet.
Bestten offers a flicker adjustment wheel located on the side of the dimmer behind the wall plate, not on the outer slide.
Low-quality dimmers can cause that issue.
You might want to consider trying a different dimmer. I personally used Leviton dimmers that were recommended for my specific light model, even though the Lutron dimmer listed did not work well.
Just wondering, are your dimmer switches on separate controls or did you install 2 three-way switches for control from different locations in the room? LEDs don’t perform well with dual dimmers. They might flicker or strobe.
I have separate dimmers for the rooms, but only the living room lights flicker. The electrical wiring for the bedroom and living room is on the same breaker.
To troubleshoot, I would first eliminate the switch as the issue by bypassing it. Turn off the breaker, remove the hot and load wires from the switch, connect them with a wire nut, and then turn the breaker back on to turn on the lights and check for flickering. If the flickering persists, check the wire nuts at the lights. If the issue remains, it might be the LED drivers, so try swapping known working drivers with the flickering ones to rule out the problem.
I decided to stop attempting to get LED bulbs to function correctly with dimmer switches. I removed all the dimmers from the house and reverted back to regular switches.
It’s important for the lights to be able to dim.
The different groups of lights might have become out of sync for some reason. Have you considered switching the load and neutral on one group of lights to see if it resolves your issue? Make sure not to leave them that way even if it solves the issue. If it does solve the issue, you’ll need to determine which group is wired incorrectly and fix it.
When installing LED/CFL dimmers, many have an adjustment feature to set. Just turn the dimmer all the way down, then adjust until there is no flickering.
