Which option would suit your needs better: a pair for commercial and industrial use, or one for controls?

Katapult is the best!!✔️
Croppers are faster to use.
Why not have both?
I really appreciate the self-adjusting feature, especially when I have to insert every wire into ferrules.
Can they strip 10 gauge wire well?
What is the largest wire you have stripped?
10 is the biggest and they definitely do a good job. I started with a pair from the harbor freight brand to try out before investing in a more expensive one.
I prefer self-adjustable!
I’ve never tried the self-adjusting Klein strippers, but I did use a different brand and they lasted me a couple of years before getting too loose. On the other hand, I’ve had the catapult for a few years and it still feels like new.
I actually still have the self-adjusting one, basically like new. The screw that keeps the depth gauge in place always seems to come loose. I tried it out a bit but ended up going back to the old-fashioned way. It’s hard to teach an old-timer new tricks, I suppose.
I used to have a pair, didn’t really care for them. I believe my friend still has them down in the Keys. I’m 8 hours away and definitely don’t miss them.
I haven’t used the right pair yet, but the left pair isn’t great.
Left one: “I’m sorry, but I won’t be able to make it to the party tonight. Can we reschedule for another time?”
Hands down my favorite. These are sturdy. I mainly work on commercial HVAC systems.
I have a second pair that I use specifically for PV (Solar) 10AW cable because it’s so thick. My other wire strippers struggle with it.
I personally prefer the ones on the right… but most of our wiremen stick to the basic strippers.
The tools on the right. They cut the insulation instead of tearing it off. I know it’s a small detail, but it gives a neater finish.

The initial one is not good
I have the tools on the right. Personally, I really like them but they may not be the best in small spaces. I totally agree with the comment about the adjustment screw. It tends to loosen often.
Self-adjusting feature
Klein tools might be pricey, but they’re top-notch and really durable. The quality is exceptional.
