In my experience, colored mulch tends to fade with time. If you’re considering it, natural (cedar) mulch might be a better choice. Remember to freshen up the mulch regularly… maybe yearly? Rock may be more expensive, but it requires less maintenance.
I really appreciate that! The information is super useful. We actually purchased this house back in September 2022 when I was pregnant, so we haven’t had a chance to make any updates or maintain it. Now that our daughter is a year old, we’re finally getting around to it!
