Where can I find a replacement front for my Square D electrical panel with a vintage vertical main breaker series E8 Qo40mw200?

I can’t speak for everyone, but Charles auto services has always been my go-to for parts. I highly recommend giving them a shout – they’re reliable and trustworthy.
Thank you so much, do they specialize in electrical products for homes?
Definitely
You won’t find one here
Yeah, I know they’ve been gone for quite a while now, so it’s really just a matter of luck. With my luck, I probably won’t find it, haha.
Some big companies actually have a “junk yard” right on their premises!
I checked out our local electrical supply places and even some salvage construction spots, but no luck. Do you know of any large places that ship?
Oh, no! Sorry about that!
Hey, thanks a lot. I really do appreciate all the help.
Hey, I recently handed one over to a contractor. You know, I think I have one that I removed from an older home. It’s actually from a repeat customer my dad worked for 50 years ago. When I saw his handwriting, I immediately recognized it. They’re pretty hard to come by, right?
Best of luck!
Appreciate it, I came across a smaller one but still looking for the 200amp. It’s a bit of a stretch, but I’m sure someone out there has the complete box stashed away in their basement, just a matter of finding them haha
Wishing you the best, or swap it.
That seems to be my only other choice
In Trinidad and Tobago, the supply store had approximately 1500 dollars.
Thanks, Steve! I actually live in Tennessee, USA.
The sheet metal company is able to create one!
Levinsky Legal only when officially listed.
What’s better? Not being included or having an open discussion panel?
I totally agree with you! I’ve been considering getting an old metal military footlocker and cutting out the back to hang it on the wall above the box.
I just mentioned something, feel free to do as you please.
I can’t believe how popular Quantum Optics is! It’s surprising that no one has reached out to Schneider to ask about getting a panel cover.
I appreciate your input and agree with the facts you’ve stated. However, I personally believe that a non-listed cover is better than an open box.
It’s worth considering that if a panel is left uncovered, an insurance company could use that as a reason to deny a claim. Insurance companies are known to look for any excuse not to pay out. At this point, you’re unsure if coverage is available for that panel or not. So, the question of whether to make one or leave it is a bit silly until you have more information.
Troll, flip it upside down.
I’d definitely offer way less…
Thanks Dillon! I added it to my watchlist. It’s a bit higher than I’d like to pay, but I bet he’ll lower the price after holding onto it for a while.
No one will purchase that. I’ll throw him 100, if it gets automatically declined, I’ll send him a message.
Check out this Square D QOC40MW225 load center 200A breaker panel on Surplus Select, it has 40 spaces!
The price for this item is $140, it is in used condition.
I’m facing a similar issue with an older Siemans. Thinking of getting a welder to create one for me
Wishing you the best of luck in your search.
You could try contacting BL Best in Spokane, Washington. They might be able to help
Kimball will contact them, thanks
Q2M2200MT
Is that the part number for the cover, ?
Just swap out the panel, that’s the only thing you need to focus on
Do you think you could visit a metal shop and request them to make one for you?
Outdated. Try checking out second-hand suppliers. Or consider having a metal fabrication shop create one for you.
I might have one. Just let me know if you need it and send me a message.
It’s probably time to upgrade your service panel
Try getting a lifetime guarantee
Take a look at ebay
It might actually be more cost-effective to exchange it with a new panel of the same kind
Swap it out with a QO142M200P instead
Have you tried it yet? 😋⚡
Let’s swap out the panel, buddy.
Consider having one customized!
