What’s the most effective way to remove leftover paper and adhesive when pulling up linoleum after removing laminate?

So, I’m tackling the linoleum after getting rid of the laminate. Any tips on getting rid of the leftover paper and adhesive? Would a wire wheel and grinder or an abrasive wheel on a grinder be the best way to go? Appreciate any advice you can give!
In my experience, a steamer and a long-handled scraper did the trick for removing wallpaper.

We used this product called jasco and a scraper to get the job done – it was tough but definitely worth it.

Are you recommending a grinder with a vacuum? Laughing my *ss off and calling me a hack? I’ll finish the job according to the manufacturer’s specifications and leave a satisfied customer. Meanwhile, you’re creating a dust storm in the house with who knows what chemicals and silica dust.
I believe my way is the right way, all the way to smooth concrete for the best bond possible.

Do your best to grind or scrape the surface, then apply leveller on top
To ensure the floor is level with the hardwood or carpet next to it, consider cutting up and removing the particle board underneath the linoleum. There may be a buildup on top of the subfloor, so be sure to check the height at your transition.
When using a steamer, allow it to sit in one area for a bit before moving it to another spot. After 30-45 seconds, start scraping. Repeat this process.
At Home Depot, you can rent a cup wheel grinder along with a vacuum.

I used both a grinding wheel and a hammering scraper. I’ve always been curious about how a scraper blade on a sawzall operates 🤔. Remember, old flooring containing asbestos should be kept wet to prevent dust.

Also highlighted another reason for utilizing water. It seems to contain fiberglass and has a sticky feeling on the skin.
