What type of sealant would be best to use? It seems like it was originally tar-based.
Wait, the aluminum needs to be treated to prevent corrosion, right?
So, the issue is water getting under the aluminum. I’m thinking I need to seal it, but do you know of a specific type of sealant? The black substance already there seems like it might be melted tar.
