We’re putting these together in our office.
Do you know what type of paint is the most durable for avoiding scuffs? Just wondering about the type, not the color.
Have you checked out the All-In-One Paint by Heirloom Traditions Group? It could be worth exploring for your needs.
For your project, I recommend considering Benjamin Moore Command or Sherwin Williams Emerald in either a semigloss or satin finish, based on your personal preference.
Command, Advance, or Scuff-X. These are all from Benjamin Moore. Command is great if you’re in a hurry, but it can be a bit tricky to get a smooth finish when brushing. Advance is perfect for brushing, as it’s a waterborne alkyd that levels itself and brushes out beautifully. Scuff-X Semi-Gloss is resistant to scuffs and chips, and in my experience, it also brushes out nicely. I’ve used Scuff-X on all my doors and trim, and it’s held up really well.
This is exactly the type of response I needed. THANK YOU! Do you have kids or pets? We tend to be pretty hard on our things 😂
I have three cats and a Great Pyrenees. It’s been put to the test with them and all of the contractors coming in and out of my house for the past year for various other projects. I highly recommend it! I work for a paint store and several of our contractors swear by Scuff-X. There are also plenty of great testimonial videos on YouTube. 🙂
You’re amazing. I really appreciate it!
Hey , I was hoping to find Scuff X semi-gloss nearby, but it seems to be unavailable in my area!
Hey , have you tried spraying Advance before? How did it turn out?
For the best results, it’s recommended to brush Advance instead of spraying it, applying multiple thin coats and sanding lightly between each coat. The recoat time is around 16 hours.
Appreciate it, !
Sherman Williams’ Emerald line is worth considering. It’s a urethane paint that’s commonly used on kitchen cabinets for its durable finish.
I totally agree with you, . I actually followed this recommendation and it worked wonders for my mudroom built-ins, even with three kids and two dogs.
Thank you so much, !
2k water-based paint by Renner is highly favored by professionals. It includes a 643 primer and 851 paint, resulting in a silky smooth finish with no texture when sprayed. It is known to be more durable than other options mentioned in the comments.
