Hey , how did you paint the cabinets?
Is sanding, applying bin primer, and then painting the cabinets in a makeshift booth made of drop sheets in the garage.
We’re planning on painting ours, but it has a prominent oak grain that I want to conceal or soften. By the way, it looks great.
Hey , that BIN primer did a fantastic job of covering all the grain.
Hey , the person who shared this does not have oak cabinets like yours, so there isn’t the same open grain. BIN is really thin and not great for filling grain. You’ll need a high-build primer to fill some of it in, or you could try using aqua fill grain filler before painting.
Hey , I did see that these cabinets have a smooth finish. I have been exploring aqua fill and other grain filling options. Just need to make a decision and go for it.

Are the wainscoting strips 1/4″ aspen? Did you happen to use biscuit joiners? I’m in the process of starting mine.
