What stair runner would complement an open concept home with visible stairs, considering the Ruggable option and DIY installation to match dark blue accents?

Hey, do you have any ideas for a stair runner for our house? We have a large, open layout with stairs that can be seen from the front when you walk in. I’m thinking about getting a runner from Ruggable that I saw online. I’m planning on doing the installation myself with a staple gun. I want to make sure it coordinates well with our dark blue barstools and pendant lights.
Hey Mandy, I’m actually planning to do the same thing and did some research. A regular staple gun might not be strong enough to staple the carpet to the underside of the hardwood bullnose. I got a pneumatic one since I have an air compressor, but you might want to consider an electric one. Also, don’t forget about padding to make the carpet last longer.

I ended up purchasing a pneumatic staple gun (powered by an air compressor) after looking at electric ones as well. You can easily compare and read reviews on Amazon compared to Temu or AliExpress.

I wouldn’t recommend stapling down Ruggable rugs, they’re not very sturdy and meant to be washed.
