What paint color would best complement a sisel oak floor in a basement with ceiling lighting, like Agreeable Gray? Can you share photos of this color in a basement setting?

I’m in the process of picking a wall color for my basement makeover. The floor is sisel oak from Lowe’s, and I could really use some input on paint choices. There’s lighting in the ceilings, so I’m thinking agreeable gray might be a good option. Has anyone tried this color in a basement before? Any chance you have photos of it in action?
If I were you, I’d bring a piece of flooring to the paint section and match it with sample chips to find the right paint color. Lighter shades work well in basements.
Greige – it’s like a mix of green, grey, and beige!
How about a light gray or beige? Maybe even a light green with a hint of beige.
There are companies, such as samplize, that sell stickers in various paint colors. I suggest getting a few to test out in your basement with this lighting so you won’t regret your color choice. You can easily move the stickers around to see how they look in different lighting throughout the day. Additionally, you can find articles on sites like Pinterest that offer advice on the best paint colors for specific lighting situations, like “what’s the best gray for a North facing low light room.”
But for this, I might go for a slightly more blue undertone. Sherwin Williams Sea Salt is a top choice for me. I have their color palette to help me narrow down the options 😂
I chose Agreeable Gray for my home. It’s a lovely mix of beige and gray. With good lighting, it’s a great choice for the basement.
Definitely does! ❤️
Hey, , I believe you’ll be okay. It looks good in my room too (lots of natural light).
Oh, really loves it! 😍
I’m trying to decide on a couch color for that room. I think gray would work, right?
You could go with gray. The wall color will work well with gray or brown. We opted for a lighter, cream-colored loveseat for that room (it’s covered in blankets to protect it from the cats).
Hey, my dogs would probably do the same or my grandchildren, haha
A shade of gray that is darker.
I use Agreeable Gray Flat or Satin in ALL 6 of my houses (residential and rentals). It goes with “almost” EVERY color flooring. I pair it with “Snowbound White” Semi Gloss for the trim.
I LOVE this color combination-it is perfectly neutral for any decor!!
Tip: In a basement, I would not use Flat paint because of the added humidity and Satin is easier to keep fresh and clean. (even on the walls)
(Also, I do have one floor that has a very yellowish orange hardwood look in one house and I had to use a wall color that had more beige than gray… only because that is the only one that Agreeable Gray would have been too gray. Other than that, I will always use that. It is not too dark.. and not white. It is not too blue or yellow like the true grays or beige colors. It is bright enough to enlarge the room.. but, warm enough to not be blinding. The agreeable gray also leaves a very smooth, velvety rich texture to hide most flaws when it dries.)
If you use flat in a basement or bathroom, in can show moisture/condensation streaking… which will occur with probably any flat paint.
Sherwin Williams paint is my favorite to use in my own home. But, if you are on a tight budget, Walmart generic paint is also very close. They can match the color.
Good Luck
Snowbound White paired with Agreeable Gray creates a harmonious look.

I went with agreeable gray and I’m very happy with how it turned out
I really like the way it can appear different just by adjusting the lighting. Your bathroom looks so bright and fresh with the cool white lights. Mine has a completely different vibe with the warm tones, perfect for a living room. Neither is too cool or warm.
I think it looks great in various lighting conditions
I’m really into white these days. Switching up all my rooms from grays to white
Ditto. Just downsized and switched from dark walls to all white (Swiss coffee) with dark floors.
I’ve been loving Chantilly lace
I’ve used it in many homes. I prefer a slightly darker shade, but it still looks quite nice
