A lot of apartment complexes are now installing them on the roof. They usually have flat platforms for them to rest on. And believe it or not, crackheads are the reason behind it. I’m not joking.
Must be worried about theft hahaha
Dealing with some thieves taking your ladders and having to figure it out 😂
Do high crime areas contribute to the theft of A/C units maybe?
Insurance coverage for theft
Copper thieves will need to put in more effort to steal the tubing
Very good point
Exactly
So you’re saying they’ll need to climb onto a roof to smoke crack
Just to prevent theft
Improved air circulation!
What’s up with them having window units too?
Must be cooler, or perhaps the higher ones lead to a different room. None seem secure in my opinion.
I’m totally snagging this for the Sloppy HVAC Mechanics page. ood luck expecting that compressor to last at that angle!
Philip odfrey Exactly what I mentioned! And HVAC is not my thing!
Haha, this definitely belongs on a messy page 😂😂
Philip odfrey It definitely needs to be leveled, but this is typical in flood and crime-prone areas.
There are methods to make them level on a roof. No excuses, especially with a compressor.
I had no idea compressors functioned at an angle!
The line set wasn’t long enough to be placed on a platform…
Intelligent
I kind of get the feeling that the window units were giving their all, but falling a bit short. Maybe they should be zoned separately indoors 🤷🏼♀️
No content
Requires adjustment
I’m not sure who reg Allen is. What are your thoughts? Seems like something Cunningham would do!!🤣🤣
They tend to do this a lot in Arizona.
I wonder if it was stolen for copper
They really don’t want those to get stolen
Budget-friendly option.
The compressor is going to be in trouble soon 😂
Lacking chromosomes, you know
Well, some things are just beyond repair…
For the purpose of theft
Are you too stingy to lay down a foundation?
You can’t take what you can’t access.
Hey Luke Browning, you’re back with the splittys. 😄
You know, I actually do that a lot too – that way I can install a new one when the wind knocks it off the roof
It’s so darn hot!

Thieves stole my copper pipes and damaged the condenser, it really makes you think creatively
It’s a sick world we live in. What do you think about this situation?
Perhaps the minisplit is meant for the living room.
Just thieves.
Did they escape through the windows?
You can’t fix silly people
The line set costs about 50 cents in copper
The plumber does HVAC too, you know.
Protection against theft is important.
Alternative plan.
They ought to be sitting level at the very least.
This is the end result when you can’t understand why the cheapest offer is so low but you still go for it
People who don’t think are all over the place these days.
Maybe it’s because they lack flood insurance 😅😂
🫣 What on earth!!!
Clearly, they’re relying on gravity to do the work.

Those aren’t apartments
