Hey, does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue on the chimney breast? Thanks so much!
It appears that there might be a water leak here
Seems like there’s some moisture here
Take a look at the chimney situated on the roof and pay close attention to the flashing surrounding it as it may be causing leaks.
If the area is damp, be sure to examine the chimney flashing. Has there been a recent roof replacement?
Make sure to inspect the flashing, and don’t forget to check the insulation between the brick and the wall in case it has moved out of place.
Make sure to inspect the crown.
There might be a roof leak near the chimney flashing.
