What lies beneath a school in Buffalo, NY – could it be salt hidden in the parking lot?

I think there’s a section of the parking lot above the basement of a school in Buffalo, NY. My bet is that they use salt down there!

Reg Harris, that’s not buffalo but it’s all good haha. Just to clarify, I haven’t worked in any schools in rand Island.
When I talk about I to people from other areas, they usually know Buffalo instead. So yeah, I’m aware it’s not Buffalo. Thanks for the heads up! I probably wouldn’t have known if you hadn’t mentioned it! 😆
I understand, reg. No worries about the local versus national/international mix-up. My mistake.
During winter, we heavily salt the streets in Buffalo. This rusty box is located beneath a parking lot where cars bring in salt, the midday sun melts the ice/snow on the cars creating a corrosive mixture that drips down onto the box.
