I just did a quick makeover on my barstools and thought I’d share the costs with you: I got the barstools for $5 total, the seat covers for $6, and the upholstery foam for $10.

Those appear to be 1960s Hank Lƶwenstein barstools! You might want to inspect them for a maker’s mark as they hold significant value.
You found them! Good catch!! The woman on marketplace was assisting her father in clearing out stuff because they were relocating him to Atlanta. She sold them for $5 for both so a real bargain.
