What is the recommended spacing between existing concrete steps and new wooden steps for proper installation and stability?

I need to install some wooden steps over the concrete ones I already have. Do you know how much space I should leave between the concrete and the wood? Do you think 1/16 of an inch is sufficient, or should I leave a bit more room?

Make sure to add a sill seal and attach pressure treated wood to it
