What is the most cost-effective solution to repair and prevent further decay of my rotting shed with electric inside, considering removing it altogether?

I’ve got this shed that’s starting to rot at the edges. Any ideas on a budget-friendly way to repair it and stop it from happening again? I was thinking about getting rid of it altogether since it’s taking up a ton of space, but there’s electricity running to it.

Excavate around the area and create a trench. Fill it with gravel and replace any rotten boards.

Trim off the bottom of the siding and replace it with PVC trim. It’s an easy fix as long as the studs are still solid

Phoebe Walters

Add a 1×4 trim piece over the decaying area and you can enjoy it for another 15 years

Hernán Mascareñas

Put it on 8 inches of gravel

If the floor joists and rim board are in good shape, go ahead and lift it up and set it on concrete blocks. If only the siding is damaged, take off any necessary trim and cut away the rotten siding. Cut a new piece to fit, and make sure to seal the cut edge and use Z flashing between the pieces. Reinstall the trim.
