What is the ideal gap between two cupboard doors for a 1000mm base unit with two 500mm doors to ensure a professional finish when fitting your own kitchen?

What’s the right amount of space between two cupboard doors? I’ve got a 1000mm base unit and two 500mm doors that come together in the middle. Right now, there’s a 4mm gap, but I’m not sure if that’s ideal or if they should be flush against each other. I’m doing my own kitchen installation and I want it to look good.

4 millimeters is fine, but touching is not ideal

It’s important for the top and bottom to be equal in distance to appear aesthetically pleasing.
There are typically three ways to make adjustments – up, down, right, left, and depth
It’s best to focus on depth first (often, adjustments to that are not even necessary)
Adjust up and down

I think 1/8 inch is about 3mm, so that’s like 3-4 mm, right?
