What is the correct way to attach eye hook screws to hardy board siding for a 24-foot sun shade?

I’m thinking about putting some eye hook screws on the side of my house for a sun shade. Do you know the best way to attach them to the hardy board? And what should I avoid? I’ll need about 4-6 screws for a 24-foot shade.
I wouldn’t connect something like that to my house. I prefer to do things my own way
When I’m asked to do this, I would secure a 2×4 or 2×6 to the side of the house, making sure it’s attached to the studs. I would prime and paint it beforehand, and then repaint it once it’s installed. Finally, I would attach the sunshade screws to that board.
Or find studs and ensure you securely attach the screws through the siding into the stud.
Or maybe that way🤷🏻♂️
Make sure to check the instructions and mounting recommendations for the sun shade you’re installing.
Here, I’m calling it a sun shade but it’s basically just a tarp for my boat haha. I’ll secure one end of the tarp to the house, and the other end to the fence post or boat trailer.

Here’s a tip – avoid buying those gazebos with a vinyl or canvas roof that are self-supporting. They might seem convenient, but there are some downsides you should consider. First off, you’ll have more space and flexibility with a traditional gazebo that you can place anywhere you want. Plus, you can easily add screens to keep bugs out. And you won’t have to worry about your neighbors asking you to take it down. Boat tarps are designed for boats for a reason. Also, those gazebos might not withstand strong winds, even with screws in place. This could lead to water damage issues. Just something to keep in mind!
