Hey Chaz, have you tried looking for paintable silicone caulk? We keep some in the shop for the old commercial building. I’m not sure if you can find it at a regular Home Depot.

Hey, if you’re talking about caulk, just make sure to use the good silicone kind. I applied baseboard caulk in various spots around my previous house and it all ended up cracking, so I had to scrape it off.
You shouldn’t paint over silicone caulk.
Chaz, I totally agree. In my experience, I’d prefer to leave a gap rather than fill it in and risk everything falling apart.

I saw this happening above my kitchen cabinets on one side. After a few months, I checked and they had disappeared. Just recently, I noticed they are back. It’s like my house is breathing! I decided to just leave it alone 😂🤭
My house goes through this every year above the back door. It’s more obvious in the summer than in the winter.

That corner has only two Sheetrock boards hanging there without any wood support. To properly address this problem, you’ll have to add wood backing in that corner. Forget about caulking or glazing or any of that DIY stuff those armchair contractors are suggesting
