My friend sent me a message about their DIY weed growing experiment that didn’t go as planned. Apparently, they blew a transformer and had to get it replaced. The power company mentioned that they were “pushing the capacity” when they installed the new transformer.

How exactly does one ‘max out’ the capacity? Was there a main switch or not?
Maybe they inserted something into the jaws to bypass the meter, but made it seem like the meter was still working.
