After 10 years of working on residential service calls, that’s a first for me.
I cannot attend the meeting tomorrow due to a scheduling conflict.
It’s as if they could’ve simply attached a plug to it…..
My first thought, . I guess they didn’t want to block an outlet 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No way! I’ve never encountered something like this in all my service adventures.
It was safely stored in a plywood cabinet, at least.

This photo reminds me of a brass wall plate in my home. It’s an old single-outlet plate that has two additional holes, each about 1/4″ in diameter, next to the outlet. I’ve never come across another one like it. Just a guess, but it might have been meant to expand an existing surface-mounted circuit with concealed armored cable and boxes, with that plate serving as the entry point from outside to inside the wall.

While this may not be the correct method, it’s definitely unique and shows a lot of effort and skill. Didn’t quite hit the mark, but I appreciate the innovative thinking.
