So, our window has these things on the bottom of the frame. Any ideas on what I should be adding next to that spindle to get it to work properly?
You need to get the crank out handles. If you know the window manufacturer you should be able to purchase new ones. If not, you can buy universal ones, although they may not fit in the pocket correctly.
If you can’t locate the manufacturer on the window edge, measure the diameter and tooth count. Then visit Swisco at https://www.swisco.com/cl/Replacement-Window-Operator-Accessories
And if you’re not worried about them folding. By the way, major home improvement stores usually carry the cranks. Maybe not the exact brand, but they should work. Until you find the brand-specific ones
You know, you can find those handles at most hardware stores or they can even order them for you.
Oh hey, have you seen those new crank handles?

The indentation on the top left really resembles Pella, don’t you think?
Hey Scott, are these the Pella folding crank handles?
Yep, that’s exactly what you’re looking for, .
You can pick up the window crank handle at Home Depot, Menards, or Lowe’s.
Hey, I just saw a Pella marking on the window. I’ll check Home Depot, thanks!
If you order them online, you’ll get the best deal, buddy!
