What DIY project did you tackle this winter that involved buying moldings, photo frames, and printing photos on card stock for your friend?

This winter, I took on a little project after hearing some crazy quotes. I decided to tackle it myself on two Saturdays. I picked up all the molding I needed at a nearby Lowes, including the “Chair Rail” for the top straight molding.
We found some photo frames for a great deal – $16 for two in a box on Amz. We selected photos from our iPhones and sent them to a friend who owns a copy shop. They printed them in black-and-white on Cougar Opaque Card Stock 80 lb. paper (not glossy) for $2.75 each. We chose 24 different photos, keeping five behind in each frame before sealing them up. Our friend will switch them out with the seasons. Feel free to ask if you want to see!
It seems like doing it yourself is the way to go most of the time, unless you’ve got a ton of money. With each project, you learn something new that makes the next one a bit easier.
The more you do, the more you learn. And the more you learn, the more you do.
Is giving 💯.
Oh no, looks like you’ve caught the DIY bug! =)
Has some wild quotes! Four years ago, I decided to install my own tankless water heater because the quotes I received were as high as a used 2016 Honda Civic!
Great work! It totally elevates the entire space in a bougie way ✅️
Wow, it turned out amazing! Excellent work! 😁
Haha, love it! The professionals were asking for how much?
Is asking for $1800.
Wow, !
It’s so cozy here!
Hey Stephanie, I’m at a loss for words when it comes to your delightful smile. Your posts are truly fantastic. I’d love to have a chat with you, but I don’t want to be pushy by sending a friend request without your permission. I would really appreciate it if you could add me. Looking forward to chatting with you. Thanks a lot!
Well done! 👏
Wow, this is absolutely fantastic!!
Hold up, I’m a little lost…so your project involved placing photos in frames? 🤔
My wife, , loves capturing photos in frames with moldings
So now that you’ve seen all the effort, what price would you suggest?
I’m not sure about because I’m unavailable at the moment; I have a full-time job too
Nice work! Can you tell me which tiny saw you bought?
Thanks a bunch!

I found a helpful tutorial on how to operate a mini table saw. This person shared a clever tip for achieving precise cuts consistently!
It appears wonderful
This is amazing! You did so well!
I wouldn’t hesitate to commend you for a job well done.
When we bought the house, I was never happy with the work done by supposed professionals. I retired in December as a mechanical engineer and took on tasks at home. In 1998, I installed our tankless heater, along with many other appliances such as a Moen sink garbage disposer and an AO Smith water filtering system. In 2018, I installed 2 units of Inverter Mini Splits – a 12k and 25k that both heat and cool us in the summers. With some basic skills, you can do it too and improve as you go. Thanks for all your kind comments!
Hey there Freddy! I’ve actually worked on a crew building houses during my summers as a young man, so I understand where you’re coming from. Some people may not have any skills or knowledge, but nowadays it’s so simple to learn and figure things out, even if you’re starting from scratch. I’ve been considering doing something similar to what you’re doing with our stairs.
You should be proud of the amazing transformation you accomplished.
Great work on this! Congratulations on the beautiful result!
Can you tell me what the brackets/hooks are for on the wall between the rectangular molding along the staircase?
I’ll be using the brackets to secure the handrails that I plan on staining and varnishing before putting them in place
You did an amazing job, and you should feel really proud of what you achieved!
Absolutely stunning!
