What could have caused the unexpected change between yesterday and today when neutralizing, washing, and sealing concrete?

So, check it out – yesterday’s pic is on the left, and today’s is on the right. Something weird went down and I can’t figure out why. It’s all good though, I cleaned and sealed it between the two shots. Not sure what caused this – any thoughts?
It might not be completely dry yet.
Before starting, did you check for moisture on it?
Are the lighter spots chalky? Do they look different when wet?
Hey , yeah it looks chalky and tends to get darker when wet.
Hey , it might be efflorescence.
Hey , do you know how long that concrete has been cured?
Hey , I’m not sure. We just moved into the house a few weeks back and the concrete countertops were put in by the previous owners.
Hey , can you tell me what you sealed it with?
Hey , do you mind sharing what kind of stain you used?
Hey , I decided to try out the trial DecoGel kit from Direct Colors. It was a gel stain (I added a bit of semi-transparent stain I had to darken it) and then sealed it with a water-based sealant.
Hey , why not try sanding with 100-220 grit sand screen? Make sure to clean thoroughly, maybe use an alcohol wipe once it’s dry. After that, reseal with the same sealer. When you sand, be sure to remove the sealer to create a good profile for a strong bond. Let’s see how that turns out.
Hey , thanks a lot! I’m going to give it a shot.
