What can be used to fill the gap between the new door and floor tile that is slightly under an inch wide and varying widths?

The new door doesn’t line up with the floor tile. Any ideas on what I can use to fill in the gap? It’s less than an inch wide but varies in width in different spots.

To bridge the gap, I recommend ripping a piece of wood slightly larger than the max distance, painting it with black enamel, and trim nailing it to the wood subfloor. Use small wedges or shims to keep it square to the tile floor. Caulk the edges with clear silicon to prevent water seepage. You can find a suitable board at Lowe’s or Menards if needed.

Did the tile guy forget to install the ceramic saddle? You can easily pick one up from Home Depot or opt for a nice wooden saddle that’s beveled on one or both sides.

I’d suggest getting a thick engineered marble threshold and cutting it to the width you need. Use construction adhesive underneath to keep it in place.
