What breakers are compatible with this GE panel and how can I safely shut off power to the busbars without redoing the entire service?

Hey, does anyone happen to know which breakers are compatible with this? I’m leaning towards GE. I might need to shut down power to the busbars to figure it out. My idea is to just buy a bunch of different breakers to see if any of them fit. They double-tapped the 50 and fused it for an AC unit, so my only other option is to redo the whole service with a meter main.

Incredible!

Fabiola Ulloa

It’s designed for a mobile home socket, but Eaton should be compatible.

At least we can be sure this “conduit” is waterproof, right?

Eva Cabán

All because of that electrical tape!

Ana Luisa Rendón

Is the reason the water stays in, not out.

Diana Smith

Reg, I’m pretty sure that hoses work both ways, right? 🤣

Flenn Pearson

The type of breaker you use doesn’t matter as much as using a garden hose as conduit

Warren Holland

Rick oldsmith is apparently a master electrician according to his profile 🤔

Is this a special at the campsite?

Flenn Pearson

Sure, I can help with that. Just let me know what changes you want to make!

Cynthia Nieto

It might be best to just leave this situation and walk away!

Mads Rasmussen

These are Cutler Hammer BR series breakers.

It’s like a breath of fresh air.

Sorry, I didn’t pay attention to your question lol. If I can’t remove the panel for good photos, I won’t make guesses about the breaker info.

It seems like E or Sylvania O’Bryant breakers should do the job if needed

Lucas Hudson

Can you confirm if that conduit is schedule 40 or 80?

Jeanne Pelletier

Whoa, he’s actually 60 🤦‍♂️

Ana Luisa Rendón

Is 50 feet tall

Danielle Vasquez

Ouch, that’s hard to look at. It seems like someone had a bunch of junk and needed power urgently.

Soledad Cornejo

Isn’t it crazy how someone used a garden hose as sealtight?

Louis Baker

I was seriously impressed by the garden hose idea

Deborah Herrera

Are you thinking of going with Eaton or Siemens breakers?

Emile Patel

Neat seal that is secure

Aubrey Gibson

These breakers are made by E.

Jeanne Pelletier

Szymanski sounds good 👍

Jeanne Perkins

Wouldn’t teck cable be a better option?

Gladys Ramirez

The ones that are black!

Emma Garcia

The fitting for the hose conduit tape really surprised me

I have never encountered green UF before

Can we try to post some new stuff instead of the same old things from last week? Thanks!

Pagliaro, as indicated in his profile, is an expert electrician

Olivier Andersen

Is a scammer

Warren Holland

Pagliaro maybe hacked?

Warren Holland

I’m curious if the inside of a garden hose is considered wet, dry, or maybe damp?

Jeanne Jones

I can’t believe anyone would fall for this kind of nonsense.

David Brown

Do you see those breakers over there? I have a feeling those might be the ones you’re looking for… Just a hunch…

Warren Holland

There’s something suspicious about this post 🤔

Ana Luisa Rendón

Does it even make a difference? Just put anything in there.

María Eugenia Saldivar

20 gallons per minute

Mitchell Reid

Traditional liquid type conduit

Alberto Martínez

Wow, the classic x in the garden hose trick… Seriously? Bussbar? I highly doubt there’s buried bussbar powering that pedestal… more likely conduit with wires inside. By the way, the fact that you’re asking for help here and planning to buy all the parts yourself suggests you should really consider calling a licensed electrician…
