Any tips for cleaning concrete effectively?
This room used to be a living space, but I’m converting it back to a garage. I’ve taken down the drywall and removed the carpet, but there’s still some residue on the floor that seems to be sticking to everything. I think it might be old drywall dust. I’ve tried sweeping, soaking with water and various cleaning solutions, scrubbing by hand with different tools, but the problem persists. Any suggestions on what might work better? Thank you in advance!
Were you using 30% cleaning vinegar or only 5% diluted vinegar?
I was told to mix plain white vinegar with water in a 50/50 ratio. I might look into getting some proper cleaning vinegar instead. It made a huge difference on an old vise, so I consider it a win.
Oh, you should try going to Home Depot or Lowe’s for the 30% Harris vinegar. It really works like magic.
Thank you so much!
The epoxy coat surface prep details should come with the can.
Try CLR on concrete along with a floor scraper
Perhaps your concrete floor wasn’t sealed properly, allowing drywall dust to settle into it. Give it a thorough cleaning and consider sealing it with garage floor sealer.
