Should I replace the supply line if it’s leaking badly after hooking it up during a flush valve replacement project?

Hey folks, I’m in the middle of swapping out my flush valve and running into a bit of a snag. When I connect the water supply, it’s leaking like crazy. This wasn’t an issue before I started this whole project. I’ve attempted to attach it correctly multiple times with no luck. Any of you experienced DIYers think I might need to replace the supply line? I watched a video that mentioned some wiggle room near the valve, but I can’t remember if that’s normal or not.
You’re forgetting the rubber gasket in the supply line. It’s important to replace it too. If it gets damaged, it can create a big mess.
Looks like the sealing gasket is not there, it might be attached to the old flush valve. Hoses are not expensive, you can easily replace them with a new one.
I agree with you, you’re overlooking the rubber washer.
