Should I leave the old carpet in the rooms as is, or should I do something to clean it up before selling the house?

I want to replace the ugly carpet on the upstairs floor, and this is what the floor in the attic closets looks like. If it’s the same in the rooms, can I just leave it as is or should I do something to fix it? We’re planning to sell and never got around to redoing upstairs, so I’m not looking to do anything fancy, just spruce it up a bit.
This is probably going to become very popular. If you’re selling, just give it a quick clean with some Murphy’s oil soap

If you’re looking to sell, just clean and oil the floors. Let the new owners customize as they please.
