Should I lay the floor before building new walls or continue building over the existing subfloor and overlay around new walls?

Hey, so here’s the deal – I’ve taken down some walls that were built on a 1/2 TG subfloor. I’m thinking about putting up new walls, but I also pulled up some 5/8 particle board and I’m considering adding a layer of 3/4 OSB on top of the 1/2 subfloor. Do you think it would be better to lay the floor first and then build the walls? Or should I just keep building the walls on the 1/2 subfloor and overlay around them? What do you think?

I’d start by laying the floor down first.

I’m with Gregorio – unless they’re supposed to be load-bearing, lay down the subfloor first, then build the walls, and finish with the flooring.
