Should I fill in the cracks in my grandma’s house before renting it out, or should I sell it now?

I’m in the middle of fixing up my grandma’s house to rent out, and I discovered some cracks after pulling up the carpet. I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed because I’ve heard conflicting advice – some people say to sell the house now, while others say I can just fill in the cracks. Can anyone help me out with some guidance? I’m on a tight budget and the longer I stay here, the more issues seem to pop up. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I really want to keep my childhood home and turn it into a rental property to invest in my future. The house was built in 1987.
