Should I dry pack the end of the Kerdi shower pan or will the Kerdi band suffice to cover the 3/4 inch gap?

I accidentally made a bad cut on this Kerdi shower pan, so now it’s off by about 3/4 of an inch on one end. Do you think I should dry pack this end, or will the Kerdi band be enough to cover the distance?
Just pack it
If I were to redo it, I would do it without any doubts, man.
Hey , no worries. Once all the parts are put together, the system will be sealed up.
Just pack it tightly and use the band, everything will be okay.
Cover it with dry pack and apply kerdi band. You should be all set.
Secure it with packing and straps. Remember, it’s better to double-check before cutting. 😉
Work with mud and tape to transform it into something it’s not.
I prefer redoing it. I find it easier to lay the floor before putting up the walls.
It’s probably okay if it’s packed and banded, but I would always worry about the possibility of failure. Personally, I would redo it to have peace of mind.
Make sure to pack it and band it properly with the correct thinset
Bundle up and then apply the kerdi band.
Have you tried the schluter all-set? If you have, go grab the “large” 10in x 16ft ($35 approximately) for that particular wall. It should work well with their all-set.
Mixture of mud bed and kerdi membrane.
The tile should be watertight. It’ll be okay.
Simply fill it with thinset. Back when kerdi wasn’t around, we used to mud our pans.
How about trimming it a few inches and securely attaching a strip of kerdi panel at the bottom? Use thinset to join them together…
Some of these responses are quite amusing, it’s obvious some people are just guessing. To expand the size of the shower pan, you can pack material between the wall and the pan and then cover it with banding or membrane as needed. Check out the official video or website for more details.
