Should I apply more RX999 sealer and joint compound to cover the marks on my popcorn ceiling, or just another layer of joint compound?

I’m in the middle of taking down a popcorn ceiling. As I was sanding down the areas where I applied joint compound, I noticed some markings that look like pictures. I’m wondering if I should apply more RX999 sealer and then more joint compound, or if I should just cover the spots with joint compound. Just to clarify, before I initially applied the joint compound, I did use sealer on the ceiling.

After scraping my ceilings, I used drywall mud to fix all the imperfections before priming. If you mud first, you’ll need to prime what you just mudded.
