Seeking carpet advice for new home: should bedrooms have high pile like stairs, or go with low pile for a different texture in the office and stairs?
Hey everyone, seeking some carpeting suggestions!
We’re gearing up to move into our new place in a couple of weeks and we’re teaming up with Home Depot to handle the carpet installation.
Initially, I was thinking of using the same high pile carpet throughout all the bedrooms, stairs, and my office (you can see it in the picture). I’m wondering if it might be a better idea to use a different, more durable carpet on the stairs since they get a lot of foot traffic. Perhaps keeping the bedrooms high pile and going for a low pile with a different texture or complementary design for the office and stairs could be a good idea. I want to make sure the transition from the stairs to the upstairs landing area flows nicely.
The pictures show that the stairs and office are right next to each other, so do you think they should match?
The second picture is at the top of the stairs leading to the bedrooms.
