Looking to spruce up our cabinets on a budget for our upcoming wedding – any suggestions on how to paint them and add hardware?

Do you have any thoughts on what kind of cabinets these are? We’re not quite ready to swap them out right now with the wedding coming up, but we’re thinking of painting them and adding some new hardware. Thanks for any advice!
These are probably made of pressboard with a veneer coating. Just sand the surface to ensure the paint will adhere properly.
Thank you so much!
No problem at all. I would opt for foam brushes. The surface is already quite smooth and there’s no trim around the edges. Painting it is quite straightforward.
Our cabinets are made of white melamine and feature oak pulls.
I recommend checking out Amazon for hardware options. I’ve found great deals there and often direct my customers to shop there for hardware. It’s significantly cheaper in some cases. Since we don’t make a profit on hardware, I suggest saving money by shopping on Amazon.
The wooden part you use to open the cabinet is called the pull. Feel free to add hardware as desired.
At the bottom or top, you can find a melamine board with a wooden oak handle attached.
Go ahead and give this paint a try if you’re looking to paint those items. It’s easy to use, no need to prime or sand before painting. The finish is beautiful and long-lasting, plus it dries quickly without feeling sticky. This paint is versatile and can be used on a variety of surfaces like appliances, furniture, metal, fabric, and more. I’ve personally used it on a lot of different projects and it always turns out great. It’s All-In-One Paint by Heirloom Traditions Group.
Thanks a lot!
You know, you could totally throw in some boards to give them more of a shaker style and freshen up the look.
I really like this concept! I’m not entirely sure how I would begin, though.
Google “how to change flat door to shaker style”, many are for interior doors but the steps are similar. I am currently in the process of transforming all the flat doors in my house to shaker style. It can be time-consuming, but the outcome is definitely worth it. Before:

That is lovely!
