Is water damage causing cracks on your basement foundation wall along the driveway?

Hey, can you take a look at what’s going on with my basement or foundation wall? It seems like the inside, particularly in the laundry room which is unfinished, is experiencing the same issue. Could it be water related? Just a heads up, the driveway is right next to this wall. Thanks for your help!

This is what we call ‘honey combing’. It simply means that the concrete wasn’t packed tightly against the form board when it was poured, and the concrete workers didn’t smooth out the area after removing the form.

This level of honey combing doesn’t pose a threat to the foundation. The easiest way to address it is by applying a skim coat of parging.

However, I suggest considering doing the entire concrete surface around your house if you opt for this, as only fixing the honeycombed section will make it more noticeable.

Of course, , you definitely have the ability to do that!

Give it a parging treatment! Everything will turn out fine!
