Is upgrading to a larger bathroom fan the only option if the size needed is not available?

I’m having trouble finding a replacement for this bathroom fan with the same size. Do you think the best option is to just get a larger one and make the hole in the ceiling bigger?
Yours is in better condition than mine.
There could be a kit available for a rebuild. You might consider switching to a smaller unit and fixing up the area. Alternatively, you could opt for a larger size.
