Is this how they do it in Florida too?

I believe they do it like that in Florida as well.

Let’s change up the wording a bit to keep things interesting, but still convey the same message.

I’m not a huge fan, but I don’t hate it either.

I’m not a fan of multi-family units, but that’s the way it’s done. Codes are pretty lenient on them, so no one worries about bundling or heat. I’m concerned that some wooden structures might burn down due to tight chases filled with SER cables on some of the projects I’ve worked on.

Bradley Gregory

That’s quite a big word…

Ella Davis

I think they’re in flex, right? Or is that MC cable? Either way, the heat shouldn’t be an issue since the conductors are in a raceway. It really depends on how many conductors are in each raceway.

Ella Davis

If this is MC cable, then it’s all about cutting costs. Using MC cable is more cost-effective in terms of both labor and materials.

Jayden Wong

Hey, could it be an exception to bundle AC cable? I’ve noticed this in a bunch of multi family units with metal framing on the 1st floor. Inspectors usually don’t ask for it to be separated due to limited space in the ceilings.

Edna Fields

Induction is going to be super important, or a massive electromagnet

This is the way they wire multi-unit/apartment buildings here in Massachusetts as well

Emma Holland

I know how to do flex, but not in this way. I hope the cord doesn’t get tangled. We would connect that. Looks fantastic though.

Ian Ramos

It’s probably MC cable and not FMC,

Grimaldo Urbina

No way!!!!!

Tristan Liu

This is cable in conduit. It’s kind of a necessary evil because we’re short on skilled labor and have a tight schedule for the job.

Philip Pierce

114 in a single stack? That’s impressive!

Scale down

Sofia Brewer

What about inductive reactance? Can we mention that?

Lucille Murray

Seems like it would be difficult to pull….

Vicente Murillo

There’s quite a bit of weight sitting there.

Carmelo Ayala

Maybe not as heavy as you think. Aluminum feeder and aluminum jacket.

Sofia Brewer

Have they been introduced to the concept of cable trays?

Erika Dixon

Courageous

Oliver White

Wow, she’s really flexible.

Caleb King

That’s really impressive how neatly those MC cables are organized. Have you thought about piping it instead? Did it take you a long time to do that?

Julio César Ozuna

Looking for flex?

Caleb King

I doubt that it’s suitable for new construction. Even with a powerful tugger and sturdy anchors, greenfield tends to get stuck during longer pulls. My money is on it being MC cable.

Julio César Ozuna

Whoa, I’ve never come across MC that huge. Is this how it’s usually used?

Annie Carlson

Hey, I was just chatting with my supplier and it seems like feeders are really catching on now.

Julio César Ozuna

Wow, that’s fascinating. I suppose labor costs for piping are becoming too expensive.

Caleb King

Riley O’rady I’ve worked with 250mcm MC cable which can be used for various purposes. Just need to be cautious with schools, healthcare facilities, and government buildings as I haven’t come across larger MCs besides Armor light.

Caleb King

Riley O’rady It all depends on the customer; warehouses usually use MC, but buildings for manufacturing or industrial processes are typically hard piped for easier future expansion or modifications.

Dianne James

Sounds like me… struggling to bend pipe unless it’s for an offset or a 90 lmmfao

Caleb King

It’s not that difficult, just requires some practice. Start with a manual bender and then upgrade to an old-fashioned 555 greenlee as the 855X series makes it less enjoyable.

Eva Fletcher

Precisely

Dianne James

I’ve even used the reenlee for up to 4″ EMT haha

Bernice Ross

Seems pretty big like greenfield

Caleb King
Hunter Lambert

Riley O’rady, the pipe is actually the easiest part! It took way too long to feed the wire through this flex.

Enrique Reed

That’s way too close, it will produce excessive heat!!!

Justin Kim

Voltage induced.

Ella Lavoie

Bundling those together like that could really generate some heat.

Leo Ginnish

🤢🤮

Modesto Mota

Haha, yeah we pull off this kind of thing in Florida 😂

Rene Flores

Simple

Hugh Gray

This is too painful for me, too much flexing.

Allen Caldwell

It’s unfortunate that this is the truth.
