Hey , when you say ‘in’ do you mean the curtains keep sliding towards the middle? If that’s the case, it might be because the rod is sagging in the middle. I can’t really see if there is a support in the middle – but if there is, it seems to be too low. It’s also possible that your rod isn’t strong enough for the weight of your curtains.

Before you install them, paint the adjustable shower curtain rods the color you want and place them between the beams at the ceiling.
Hey Chris, just wanted to let you know that the window isn’t perfectly centered between the beams, which means the shower rods won’t be able to evenly hang the curtains.
Hey there Nylonsebo Dawine, it seems like things might be a little off-kilter now that I think about it haha. What do you think about using O rings on the beam bases and then mounting the rod in those?

I believe these rods are a great height, but they may benefit from additional support in the middle.

For a neater appearance, consider trying pleated drapes with the Ikea Vidga system instead of what you have going on there.
Hey , have you tried using these? I’ve been considering them to fix a curtain problem I’m dealing with. I was concerned that the single track might not be sturdy enough for really tall curtains.
Hey there! Check out Nylonsebo Dawine on YouTube for some tutorials on this system. It’s always helpful to see how others are using them. I’ve even seen people customize them for their space or hang them from the ceiling!
I’m good with where they currently are. I’ve worked on many like this before. Just make sure the rod is properly installed. Placing them between the beams might not look great. You could cut them (probably decorative beams) and create a box, but it still might not look right. This picture shows professional hardware. Using a continuous rod is a good suggestion.
There are many possibilities. The real question is, will it look right? Avoid using compression shower rods, as they are not suitable for this scenario and would look odd since the window is not centered under the beams. Depending on the type of curtain, you could move the rod closer to the beams and incorporate a custom window valance that fits up to the ceiling and around the beams. This would give you the desired look while still allowing the curtains to open and close. Consider a simple freeze frame with cut outs for the beams, extending a few inches past the window trim or with returns to end against the wall. A strip of 3/8 inch thick plywood cut about 8 inches deep (assuming the beams are 4 inches in depth) can make the freeze double that depth. Attach it with blocking to the wall, covering the plywood with 1/2 inch upholstery batten and then the same fabric as your curtains. Staple the batten and fabric to the plywood on the backside. Ensure the offset is sufficient for the curtains to move freely without touching the valance. The rod and top of the curtains will be concealed behind this valance freeze, resulting in a finished look similar to this. Imagine the orange as curtain fabric, or you could trim it out with a ledger board and paint it to match the beams and ceiling.
Omg , thank you so much for the detailed information! Can I please pin your comment for future reference?

I believe a double rod is needed. I would suggest installing it in the current location of this rod. The sheers should go on the inner rod and the drapes on the outer rod. Make sure the curtains are 2-3 times wider than the window as they might look sparse once spread out on the rod.

Consider using bathroom rods for the center and then attaching the left and right sides to the trim. Not sure how sturdy that setup would be, though.

The rod needs additional support. Maybe consider using a thicker one as well.
Consider using several shorter rods instead.
They appear to be at a good height in the photo.
Mentioned that they are leaving, not staying.

These seem like they will work perfectly 😍 thank you

Michelle Silversparre uerrero Yes, they are awesome! Just be sure to use strong anchors!
These particular ones aren’t meant for the ceiling, but the ones in their system are. I’ve seen some knock offs on Amazon too.
The current placement of the rod is okay, but if it’s sagging, consider using a thicker one.
Thanks a lot 😊
Use different rods.
Avoid using compression rods at all costs. The disappointment when they fall is just too much.
Yep, that’s so true
Just copied that 😂

A good idea could be to add some crown moulding between the beams, this would help bring the ceiling line down.
This is awesome 👍🏾 thanks a lot for sharing 😍
