Is there a simple DIY solution to repair our scratched and peeling bathtub, considering it’s an old tub?

Our cats did a number on our bathtub and now the paint is peeling. Any tips on an easy DIY fix for this? Just an FYI, the tub is pretty old.
It sounds like someone painted it, so there’s really not much you can do except maybe apply a thin layer of outdoor caulking to slow down the peeling.
Seems like you might have to replace it at some point
Have you tried using clear fingernail polish to slow down the peeling? Clean the area well before applying it.
