Is there a more secure method for hanging these lights, as one of the hooks has already failed, while not minding Andy Cohen behind the bar?

Hey, any thoughts on a better way to hang these lights? One of the hooks has already come loose. Andy Cohen is behind the bar, so no worries there. Appreciate any suggestions!
Make sure to screw the hooks into the joists, or use a toggle hook designed for a hollow ceiling. This type of hook is often called a swag hook.
Hey, , this is how it goes.
We recently used one of these swag hooks to hang the kitchen light upstairs. I wasn’t aware of their specific name, but I’ll swing by Lowes today. Thanks for the tip!
Swag hooks typically include a screwing method for attaching to a joist and a toggle for hollow ceilings. To install, drill a hole of the appropriate size where you want the hook. If you encounter no resistance while drilling through the ceiling material, there’s no joist present. Redrill the hole with the correct toggle bit as indicated on the package instructions.
Amazon offers ceiling hooks designed for hanging plants. Personally, I find them useful as we’ve been using them to store plants and stuffed animals for over a year now.
These were designed specifically for plants.
Hey , do those have the toggle switch after passing through the drywall?
Hey , absolutely.
You could consider getting a compact pulley system. They’re always a great addition and allow you to easily adjust the height of your light.
I’m dealing with a similar situation with a few windows on the side of my house. We were only able to replace one out of three windows. It required removing and replacing the siding, header, footer, studs, flashing, and of course, the window itself. Unfortunately, there was extensive water damage and rot due to the previous owners’ poor installation and sealing of the flashing. I like to think I’m pretty handy, but this was beyond my abilities. It’s a frustrating and expensive process, but it’s definitely worth it to invest in getting it done correctly. I hope your situation isn’t as severe.
Had the same idea in mind!
Awesome, we think alike! 😉
Consider using stronger hooks and painting the cord to blend in with the ceiling.
When hanging something on drywall, make sure to use a hook with a drywall anchor that can support more weight than what you are hanging to avoid any issues.
I’d go for something similar and wrap it around a beam.
Try using the lovely plant hooks along with a secure anchor, or locate the joist.
What are your thoughts on perimeter sconces? We designed them to match the lights you currently own. Each one is made of three pieces of wood. In our living room, we installed four near outlets and then connected them to a digital remote – it worked perfectly.
‘t forget to have studs near the outlets!

It’s not the best (the ropes are quite long and tricky to adjust perfectly) but I managed to attach a curtain rod to my ceiling.
