Is there a cost-effective alternative to pricey clawfoot tub conversion kits for adding a shower, or is it worth investing in a full kit replacement?

Hey guys, just wanted to mention that we have a really cool clawfoot tub on the main floor, but unfortunately it doesn’t have a shower setup right now.

I’ve been looking into clawfoot conversion kits and they seem pretty expensive, plus they require replacing the whole faucet. Any suggestions on a different approach or should we just go for the full conversion kit? Thanks in advance for any advice!

I personally think the conversion kit is the best choice. I’ve explored other options, but they all had issues. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion and others may have different preferences.
