Is it possible for a newbie in the DIY arena to replace a shower/tub faucet with a similar style, or would we need to stick with the original design?

Has anyone here ever swapped out a shower/tub faucet like this before? Do we have to stick with the same design when we replace it? We’re just starting out with DIY projects. Appreciate any advice in advance.

We have a similar one in stock. It connects at the top of the shower head, with the lower connection just for support and no water supply. You could replace it with something alike if you prefer, but it’s not a must. Any shower head type should do the job.

Yep, I work with this all the time, the same one you have right now. What are you looking to accomplish exactly? I can identify every component in the image.

I’m so glad you do this professionally. I always wondered who had the time to analyze a photo and search everything up on Google… 🤣

Your shower features a Pulse Kauai head/hand combo, Moen grab bars, and a Jacuzzi (also Glacier Bay from Home Depot) trim kit for the valve.

I recommend reaching out to a plumber for this one. Take it slow, folks, especially since a misstep could be costly for your home.

It’s a breeze to switch out for a DIY project. Give it a shot!

We attempted it, but we live in a more recent KB home and the handles didn’t match up correctly and the shower enclosure would have needed to be trimmed. So, it really depends on how your plumbing is aligned.
