Is it feasible to replace staircase spindles and strip paint from other parts while sanding the wood back? Any tips on the process?

I’m not a fan of the spindles on my staircase and I’m thinking about changing them. Is that something that can be done? Also, I’ll have to strip the paint off the other parts and sand down the wood. Does anyone have tips on the best way to go about this? Thanks in advance! 😊
We used a sawzall to easily remove the spindles by cutting across them. Instead of stripper, we opted for a degreaser to get rid of the paint. After that, we crafted new spindles to fit our specific needs. It’s definitely achievable.
To replace those, you’ll need to cut them out and install new ones. When it comes to the paint, using a combination of stripper and sanding is necessary.
